Bug trackers are cool. But when somebody tells me that some tracker is
awesome, I usually ask them - did they seriously use anything else to
compare the tool in their commercial environment? I used PHP bug tracker,
Trac, JIRA, Bugzilla (for which I tried to add OpenID support, but failed
on Perl), Roundup, Github, Bitbucket (if you can call it a tracker),
Tigris, Launchpad. It is a long list, yes, and Roundup is not a winner for
many features that are available in different trackers. But.. Roundup has
the potential to get all those features, and that's a good investment of
your time. And if you track the history, Roundup and SCons are born the
same as a design for Software Carpentry project.
