[meteorite-list] Nitric Acid / Ferric Chloride

I bet many of you thought I was going to ask which is better. As I am expanding my etching skills, I now realize they create distinctive results.

My question is this: if I were to experiment mixing the two, are there any dangers or safety issues beyond what one should consider for each individually?

Would I simply create a ineffective solution?

This inquiring mind wants to know.
