The USA government has required me to put miniature tracking devices into each cube and ring I sell. When they go through a RF field they transmit signals on the hidden RFID tags. 
Which now that I think about it would be a interesting way to track people :) 
assuming you could figure out a way to not get them melt and if you put them under a inlay as a thin sheet it would work. hrmmmm
