Adam...probably  after the labor day weekend in september. By then the kids 
go to school and the  rafting crowd thins out considerably. Also by then, 
the grass may seem to thin  out due to drying out. Perhaps the heat might be 
bad during the day, but cool at  night. If you wait till say around November 
or early december, the grass might  start growing again...depending upon 
how early the rains start up. Usually that  starts up anywhere between late 
October and the end of december.
