Hi List I don't often weigh in on subjects, but cutting irons has long been an issue. The best I've seen cutting any metal, is a bandsaw. And, if money isn't an object, check out the custom made saws for opal slicing. Might be an answer in those for quantity cutting with a little modification. Mark Ferguson
