Good evening,
I talked to Mr. Webb a couple of nights ago and I thought I should let 
everyone know how Walter is doing.  He has had a bit of a set back.  He had 
to have a feeding tube inserted yesterday.  He has lost a great deal of 
weight and of course muscle.  He is having problems with leakage from one of 
his drains.  This has upset him greatly.  He has a very poor appetite and 
feels nauseated when he eats.  When his drain leaks the wound care 
specialists spend hours trying to redo the drain.  Walter told me that he 
has to ask for something for the pain and his anxiety because looking at it 
makes him sick.  We have asked for a psych consult so Walter can get 
something to help with his apathy and lack of motivation.  He is very 
depressed.  He has been in the hospital for 53 days now.  He missed all of 
Rebekah's basketball season, the Tara Feis, and St. Patrick's Day parade in 
which she participated, and he will probably miss her birthday (we are 
having cake and ice cream at home).  He will also miss her Spring Break and 
possibly her next dance competition.  Even when she goes in to see him, his 
smile seems forced and he returns to staring at the wall.  I read the cards 
several of you have sent to him but I am not sure how much he is taking in. 
I bring them home and when he is better he can go through them and reread 
them.  Please keep us in your prayers and maybe the next update will have 
better news.
