[meteorite-list] Handling rust problems after buying Irons

Dear Lukasz Smula,

I'm glad to hear from you n o w . Thanks for offering your support . I
appreciate this but I propose to discuss the details of what can be done now
off list.

But there is one aspect in your message which needs to be cleared up
publically. You write that you've got only one E-Mail from me, informing you
that the meteorites begin to rust. That means that you assert I wasn't
telling the truth to the list when I mentioned several E-Mails I've sent.
That's a serious reproach and I hope you're aware of this fact.

So below only the last three E-Mails I've sent you this autumn can be found
(Nov 15, Nov 08, Oct 27) - all of them without any answer until now. (In one
E-Mail I mention 3 pieces; meanwhile I know that the forth one which I gave
as a present to a friend in London rusts as well.)

In fact I know that irons can rust. If it happens it's necessary to have a
good communication between the seller and the buyer about this problem.
That's what I unfortunately missed in our relation. Discussing this problem
was and is my main intention.

Best regards,

Matthias Baermann

P.S. You don't know what I've done with the meteorites? Well, I wrote it in
one of my E-mails, but I can repeat it: here: I simply kept them like the
other ca.20 different irons I've in my collection, open in my room, treating
them with Balistol oil from time to time. Never had any serious problem with
them except of the Moraskos.

Lukasz, that's my last message asking you for an answer. If you still don't
want us to solve this problem together I'll forward a report of my (bad)
experience to the international meteorite list. I'll wait 3 days until Nov.
18th.

Sincerely, Matthias

Lukasz, I hope to get an answer soon from you. Otherwise you'ld force me
to make these problems public.

  Sincerely, Matthias

  Hello Lukasz,

a while ago I already let you know that there are some problems with rust
regarding the Morasko pieces I bought from you via Ebay.

Meanwhile I must say: all three pieces, one individual and two etched
specimen are dramatically rusting! I have many irons in my collection, even
"difficult"
ones. But protecting them regularly with a special oil (Ballistol) I never
had rust-problems like that. I believe that something went wrong with the
preparation. Such problems can happen, but I must confess that I'm not
longer happy with these specimen.

So I'ld like to propose to give the 3 pieces back to you, for the price
I've paid for them. Probably, after re-preparation, they're more
stable and you can sell them again.

Please let me know what you think about my proposal.

  Sincerely,

  Matthias
