Hello Everyone,
Over the next month, two months
not sure how long this will take, I am going
to sell off the majority of my personal collection including many of the
choice pieces. Because of family need and since I really have a LOT of
meteorites and related. I am going to sell off enough of the collection to
buy a small home locally. Houses are pretty cheap here so I hope this only
take about half my collection. Even then I will still likely be tripping
over meteorites and related. I tend to go a little overboard on everything,
which is why my old handle was "The Big Collector".
So that means anything is up to grabs
.untill I raise the funds I need.
Main Masses, Thin Sections, Artwork, Books
..feel free to make an offer on
something I have and I will try to start listing seveal dozen items on ebay
every night. I will note these items Collection Piece, Collection Item or
the like.
Again, I am not going anywhere, and should be more eletronically active in
the next several months.
I estimate 800-1000 different meteorites in collection, 100 thin sections,
400 books, 300 postcards, 200 tektites
up to 400g, 200 article reprints and
more. Meteorite Roman Coins, Meteorite collectibles..
Oh yeah
.and impactite. I only know three people with larger impactite
collections. Several noteworthy pieces
like the only shattercone known from
Brent crater, a double shattercone, larger impactite slices and the like
in
the 1-2 kg. range from several meteorite structures. This is really a
musuem collection.
Basically
anything meteorite related. As I was saying I tend to go
overboard on things. If I was to sell 90% of my collection I would still
have what many would consider an advanced collection. I am only planning on
selling about half or a little more. I need about $30,000-40,000 more then
what I have.
Interested in something I have let me know, the photo gallery on my website
gives you some ideal of what I have
