[DogParkList] MacloggerDX 5.X and Icom 7800

Hi Peter -- Check to see if the Hex address setting for the 7800 is
correct. Then make sure that the proper USB adapter is chosen from the
drop down menu. I've had a similar problem and both of those were a
problem for me. For a while, McLogger would default to a bluetooth
connection that I didn't have each time it started and I'd have to
change it manually every time.

You've probably explored this already, but some USB adapters don't play
well... check the McLogger listserv for recommended models (about $20 USD).

Lastly, I had some problems with "hidden com port blockage" (my term)
with ports that were somehow always reserved by RTSystems radio
programming software, even when their cables weren't plugged in.

If you're unsure of the Hex address to enter, check the manual or Google
it.. quicker way !

McLogger now works fine with both the IC-7100 and the IC-7600 at my
station, but check those two things when it starts up. BTW, it also
interfaces fine with the Steppir Yagi and the MDC-1 Yaesu rotor
controller. Pretty well automates the station.

Let me know if that worked for you, Peter!

Cheers... Bob KK8ZZ
