Hello everyone,
As way of introduction. My name is George, call is WA0fSE and I live
in Fridley, MN, a suburb of Minneapolis. I have been a Mac user since
the Fat Mac came out in about 1984.

Following Don's suggestion to me I would like to ask the group if
anyone is using an FT-2000D (or 2000) with LOTW. I have been
experiencing Audio problems on my FT-2000D. The AF gain control in
Prefs seems to jump to maximum periodically and once in awhile the
squelch jumps to max muting the audio. I uploaded a debug file to Don
and he confirmed that there was/is a communication problem between the
rig and the software. Why? That is the question.

I wonder if anyone else is experiencing similar problems.

I am using a G4 version of the MacMini (1.25 GHZ) with 1G of memory
running OS X v 10.5.5. I am also using MLDX v 4.3.5. I have not tried
a different serial to USB interface in order to eliminate it as the
problem. I think (he thinks?) I am using an Easy Sync USB adapter....I
bought it a long time ago and it has no labels on it.....the drivers
from Easy Sync work with it.

Some other comments....

I am a Wannabe programmer, emphasis on Wannabe and own a relatively
recent copy of Real Basic. I have started the tutorials but not being
a programmer or not knowing basic I get hung up pretty quickly.
Probably wanting to do things to fast also....the ole' run before you
walk syndrome. I would second WW2DX's thoughts on a developer
reflector.....knowing that many of us are newbies (to programming) and
will ask elementary questions. Maybe use this List for a start?

Thanks for your time,

George WA0FSE
