You need a way to key the PTT and generate CW - this can be done with  
the DTR and RTS lines of the serial interface if the interface  
supports it.

Some radios support the generation of CW in software (MLDX sends the  
commands and the radio generates the timing).

Currently MLDX supports software CW in the following radios...
