Hi,

MacLoggerDX v2.6 and beyond has added a radio Stop Bits popup in the
preferences panel. Most of the OS 9 serial IO problems we have seen with
MacLoggerDX involved OpenTransport not being able to cope with 2 stop
bits ! Due to combination of OpenTransit and the Keyspan Driver's
support for it, some radio interfaces that required 2 stop bits were
working with MacLoggerDX under OS X but not under OS 9. MacDopplerPRO
(classic - non-carbon) works fine with 4800 baud and 2 stop bits - but
it is using the Communications Toolbox. MacLoggerDX is forced to use
OpenTransport since it is the only serial IO supported under Carbon.

For example, the TS-50 driver works as 4800 8N2 on OS X but had to be
changed to 4800 8N1 under OS 9.

If you are having trouble connecting MacLoggerDX to your rig under OS
9, try 1 stop bit under OS 9, even though your Radio documentation may
ask for 2 stop bits.
