Bat Mitzvah of Noa Waxman!

Meet Noa Waxman, Bat Mitzvah!

Noa is an eighth grader at Millburn Middle School. She enjoys spending time
with her friends and family and her puppy Karla. For Noa's Bat Mitzvah
project, Noa is raising money for the Israel Defense Forces by making and
selling beaded bracelets.

Sharing in this simcha are her parents, Daphna and Ian, her brother Lev, her
sister Maya, her grandparents Saundra and Harold Waxman, her Savta and Saba
Rachel and Gary Abrams, and all her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Noa
would like to thank Cantor Wallach and everyone in the CBI Community for
their help and support in preparation for this day.

Staff Announcement:

It is with very mixed emotions we are announcing that Joi Noel, CBI Program
Director and Clergy Administrative Assistant, will be ending her tenure with
us effective December 28. As we know, Joi has been an integral part of our
community and truly will be missed by all. We wish her our best in her
future endeavors and thank her for her efforts and dedication.

Eat, relax, and schmooze with your CBI friends. Kid-friendly, vegetarian,
vegan and gluten-free options!

A generous donor has underwritten the cost of this Shabbat Dinner.

CBI Israel Trip August 2024

We are praying that the war will have ended long before our scheduled trip.
By next summer, Israel will need to rebuild its economy.  Tourism plays an
important role in its economy.  There is no better time than now to register
for next summer's trip.  Let's amass an inspiring synagogue delegation and
travel to Israel, to inject much needed funds into the tourism industry, to
show our support to the great citizens of Israel, to volunteer and give of

Talmud Study Returns!

Winter Coat Drive

Dropoff October 3rd - October 27th in the CBI Lobby

For the first time since the pandemic, the Interfaith Food Pantry of the
Oranges will be hosting a coat distribution for its food pantry clients. Our
goal is to collect 1,400 coats this year. Too many of our neighbors struggle
to meet basic needs, and many people take having a coat for granted, until
they don't have one to shield themselves from the elements. CBI is assisting
with the coat drive to share the warmth with community members in need.

*	Please bring new or gently worn coats suitable for adults and
children.
*	NO winter accessories, please.

Coats to be delivered to the IFPO warehouse in Orange on Sunday, October
29th.
