High Holiday tickets have been mailed - please keep an eye on your mailbox! 

 

The Great Big Diaper Drive

September 18 - 22 // CBI

Help us collect diapers and related items for the Community Food Bank of NJ
as part of the

a&id=d345895a07&e=eb09225b74> Great Big Diaper Drive.  Please bring diapers
of all sizes, baby wipes, and baby cream to our donation bin by the school
door by September 18-22. *NOTE: All items must be new and in original
packaging. This is a perfect mitzvah opportunity for young children, as they
really understand the need for diapers and can help participate.

 

Special Thanks

The power went out, but Erev Shabbat Live! went on. We give special thanks
to our CBI Dinner Committee volunteers and staff members who made our
candlelit Evev Shabbat Live! Welcome Back dinner a great success - serving a
wonderful meal even though working in a totally dark kitchen by the light of
two small flashlights!

Thanks go to Wendy and Hank Kaplowitz, Steve and Lilli Finkler, Barbara and
David Gelband, Laurie Kavowras, Evelyn Baron, Henry Bloom, Joi Noel, and Ms.
Sandra for their outstanding work in the kitchen in the dark, with most of
the ovens not working, and, to Chris and Mr. Fraser for their setup and
cleanup in the dark, as well as to Rabbi Julie and Amanda Abbate for their
overall support.

Thanks to Rabbi Isenberg, Cantor Wallach, and Rabbi Julie for their
perseverance in leading a great Bim Bam Shabbat Service, and Kabbalat
Shabbat Service.  No electricity, but they powered through!!!
