The "final auto updates"
(bd1b2cf<https://bitbucket.org/scons/scons/commits/bd1b2cf5ec985127e1dbf5a968471591c6375960>)
are also on that branch, because they should not be checked into the
default branch. Otherwise I would agree with you. Here's the release
process; I'm always looking for ways to streamline it!
