$ python -c"import sys;print sys.maxint,sys.maxunicode"
9223372036854775807 1114111

But on another 64-bit Linux system (openSUSE 11.3) with python 2.6,
where I don't see the problem, I get the same output from this:

$ python -c"import sys;print sys.maxint,sys.maxunicode"
9223372036854775807 1114111
