When we created RML2PDF, we decided to use the simplest and
fastest-to-parse specification, which was a DTD. RML2PDF uses a
validating parser (pyRXP) which works with a DTD to parse the file.
Therefore, the DTD is the definitive specification.
However, if you are using development tools like XML Spy, it's
possible to generate an XSD file and use that if it helps your
development environment or if this helps other tools to generate the
right RML.
