If you substitute "MS Word" with "OpenOffice.org", then you probably want use
PyOpenOffice: http://www.bezirksreiter.de/PyOpenOffice.htm


Concerning M$ Word -- please refer to Microsoft support and ask let they 
discover you DOC binary format... :) *plonk*
