Lots of stuff can be moved into _AxisG, whatever that G stands for.
Stable or not, in the context of Python 2.x lib.validators.isBoolean
is not appropriate anymore, then, is it?

The chart stuff seems like having made a big entropy jump, where
things like _makeLines could probably entirely be replaced with
grids. I think it looks more and more like VisualBasic... ;-)
