Dear Francesco,


The active ingredient in "Naval Jelly" is phosphoric acid.  I see that this can also be purchased (in the U.S.) as several other commercial cleaning products, including some simply labeled as "Phosphoric Acid Cleaner".  (I am only verifying what the product is, I do not have any personal experience with what color meteoric iron will be after using it.)
