Hi Graham and List, it is according to Phil Bland via correspondence 

'Its actually kind of aerodynamic - a fat wing'. 

So this has possibly lead the mass to be off course  more than the predicted model. The computers usually model a brick or a sphere, but in this case it was found within approximately 400m of the line! The first find using the old film cameras was Bunburra Rockhole was pretty much found within 100m of the line! likely just down to shape differences. Wind and other factors are already accounted for.

It is a wonderful and powerful step the DFN and all sky networks. It has truly taken meteoritics to a whole new level. The old system is hunter finds rock, rocks cut and classified and then sold to the four winds 

The new system gives us much more data and is scientifically more pure and less of a headache regarding source and provenance issues

I would love to see this system to expand to areas such as Morocco, Oman and other suitable areas if geo-politics / asset safety and stability suits
