February 24, 2016

o Summer Sand Dunes

In the winter and spring, the dunes are covered by a
  seasonal cap of dry ice.

o Colorful Hargraves

This image is in a region that hosts many proposed future
  Mars landing sites.

o Dramatic Shadows over a Fossil Glacier
  http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/ESP_044193_1430

This image was acquired near the Martian winter solstice, when
the sun was low over the horizon at this location.

o Frosted Gully Slopes in Shadows
  http://hirise.lpl.arizona.edu/ESP_044327_1375

At first glance, this image looks like a mistake because the
gullies of interest are entirely hidden in a large shadow
  filling most of the crater.

online at http://www.nasa.gov/mro. The mission is
managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, a division
of the California Institute of Technology, for the NASA
Science Mission Directorate, Washington, D.C. Lockheed
Martin Space Systems, of Denver, is the prime contractor
and built the spacecraft. HiRISE is operated by the
University of Arizona. Ball Aerospace and Technologies
