Is there any long term negative effects to etching with ferric chloride versus nitric? I know that it delivers a better etch and is less dangerous, but I'm hesitant of interducing chlorine into the specimen. Any help from people who have use this material in the past would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, Derek.
