Hello William and All,
I believe I have a visual of what you are looking for. I have a highly
shocked (Shock level >6) ureilite, NWA 7195. I just took a couple quickie
photos for you to show the fresh crust and a polished face. There is an
abstract out that compares three different highly shocked ureilites, NWA
7195 being the most shocked. Here are the links to the photos and abstract:
1) NWA 7195 Exterior Crust:

Subject: [meteorite-list] Ureilite ablation
Hi All,
Do the diamonds in Ureilites undergo ablation, and if so, what does the
crust on them look like?
If not, then let me ask this, can someone hypothesize about what they'd
expect an ablated diamonds crust to look like?
William
