Welcome to the 2013 Interplanetary Small Satellite Conference

The 1st Interplanetary Small Satellite Conference will be held at the
California Institute of Technology on 20-21 June, 2013. The conference 
is being organized by part of the group of students, alumni, and staff 
from Caltech, MIT, Cornell, the University of Michigan, and JPL who 
organized last summer's iCubeSat 2012. This year the scope of the 
conference has been broadened to include interplanetary small 
satellite missions that do not fit into the CubeSat standard. We 
believe that with this change we will be able to
incorporate an important segment of the community as well as encourage
the ?outside the box? thinking that will be critical to future
interplanetary small satellite missions.

Speakers

We are proud to announce that this year's speaker will be noted
Professor of Astronomy and exoplanet hunter Geoff Marcy
<http://astro.berkeley.edu/people/faculty/marcy.html>. We are grateful
to have Dr. Marcy at the conference to share his thoughts on the future
of interplanetary exploration and the challenges and opportunities
presented by interplanetary small satellites.
