[meteorite-list] SpaceX-Going to the Moon - semi-OT

Hi Greg,

AFAIK, nobody "owns" the moon, and certainly NASA cannot lay claim to what
someone else brings back from there, nor can any government. So they would
be free to sell whatever they recover from the moon.

It will be interesting to see what price the market will bear, if and when
they are successful in this venture.

Ed

Subject: [meteorite-list] SpaceX-Going to the Moon - semi-OT

All:
I was listing to Science Friday on NPR and the were discussing the launch
scheduled for this Saturday headed by SpaceX, and a question came up about
going to the moon. Well if they did (and they are a private company), could
they legally return with moon rocks and sell them on the open market?
Greg S.
