Hello Met List and Meteor Observers, 

I spent last week in Coloma CA searching for meteorites. After 5 days 
of heavy hunting we finally made a find on our last day.

The moments leading up to and after the find were magical -- a random 
series of events that ended in a random sort of find. The randomness 
of meteors and the events that follow them is something I find 
fascinating. 

Many thanks to Larry Adkins, Keith and Dana Jenkerson, Scott Johnson, 
Robert Ward and everyone else I met, hunted with and talked to. It was 
very exciting and I'm happy and thankful to have had the opportunity 
to take part in this recovery effort.
