The *mad* King Ludwig, if I remember correctly, Matthius. ;^)
We visited Schloss Neuschwanstein 20 years ago. Amazing castle in an 
exceptionally beautiful setting. The line was so long, we couldn't tour the 
interior, but we had a great time just enjoying the grounds. Next time, for 
sure...
