[meteorite-list] Are Mars Meteorites Magnetic?

Anyone remember the movie "The Magnetic Monster"?  A meteorite falls 
and, in pulses, eats electricity and becomes an electromagnet (or 
something like that - it has been a long time;-). With each growth stage 
it becomes more and more powerful and dangerous. Eventually to kill it 
they overfeed it with the full output of a hydroelectric power station. 
A stern warning for holiday eating!
