[meteorite-list] Erosite, Speculation on what it would look like?

Eros is an S-class asteroid based on reflectance measurements.  So is Itokawa, the asteroid visited by the Japanese Hayabusa sample return mission.  The tiny shards returned by Hayabusa show that Itokawa is an LL-type chondritic body.  So, Eros is quite likely an LL chondrite body as well.

Subject: [meteorite-list] Erosite, Speculation on what it would look
like?

Dear List and Bernd,

Anyone want to speculate what an Erosite would look like or composed
of if

one is found?

Yes, I am introducing a new term into meteoritics. Bernd since your
have

vast knowledge on parent bodies your speculation most appreciated.  Dr.

Bunch or Dr. Irving? Anyone else?

Thank you in advance,  Dirk Ross...Tokyo
