Hi Ruben and List,

I'll take a layman's stab at this -

Can't really help on this one.  Although I do recall a similar
question was asked recently on this list.  I don't remember what the
answer was, but someone provided a web link.

Ms. Hodges is the only well-documented case.   Supposedly a young boy
was struck by a small stone from the Mbale fall.  It hit a banana tree
and then hit him.  There is even a photo out there of the boy holding
the meteorite.

>     A. I'm not sure... there are stories of a dog and a cow being hit...but?

Rob Wesel is more qualified to answer the Nakhla dog question, but it
is generally accepted that this story is apocryphal and never really
happened.  There is a better documented case of a meteorite striking
and killing a horse or cow, but I don't recall the name of the
meteorite.  Captain Blood probably knows.

I recall hearing a number around every 40,000 years or so, but I don't
remember where I heard it.

There is a solid figure out there for this one, but I don't remember
what exactly it is.  I do remember that the figure is measured in
hundreds or thousands of tons, mostly in form of dust.

Not very helpful, but there you have it.  LOL
