[meteorite-list] Scam Artist - Joel Samson - Fake Lunar Meteorites

Aloha Greg, Siggi and listoids,

I noticed this Joel Samson person on Facebook over a year ago, and at that time he was just hawking anonymous lunar and martian 'meteorites'.  I suggested that he have his specimens tested by a qualified laboratory before making such claims as a sales pitch.  He was adamant about their authenticity and nothing I could say would change his mind - he knew everything.  At this point, he started tagging meteorite people in his fake photos on Facebook, and I asked that he remove my tag immediately - which he did not do.  I then unfriended him and have not seen what he has been up to since then.  Now he is claiming his stones are specific officially recognized meteorites and that is beyond being foolish and naive, as Randy suggests.  Caveat emptor!
