I have found $5 will cover overseas postage most the time. When shipping outside the USA, I use more bubble rap and it also takes more time to fill out customs forms etc. Then you factor in cost of bubble mailer, ink, paper  etc... a lot of people dont think about the added costs for secure shipping.
