Nice! I'm envious in a great way, from the confines of the home.

Of Meteorites and Mammoths? ... a title exuding trail pheromones!

"Just goes to show, you never know what you will find in the desert."

This find sure beats the hoisted, crucified cows I remember you telling
us about!

It reminds me of the time my girlfriend and I walked right over the
backbone of a ridge. Turned out to be more of a backbone than we
expected: a Cretaceous Mosasaur's

What a nice feeling you must have had Sonny - and a better site to camp
out at than the last one ;-)

Meteorite hunting is so broadening ...

Kindest wishes,
Doug

Subject: [meteorite-list] From Meteorites to Mammoths

Hi List,

I wanted to share some exciting news about a phone call I recently
received.

While I was out in the field looking for meteorites I came across some
fossilized bones that were eroding out of the desert ground. I took a
few pictures and showed them to the agency responsible for that area.
They called me the other day to let me know that what I had found was a
Mammoth! I don't believe any Mammoth's have been found at this
location before. I hope to post some pictures of this when I get home.

Sonny
