[meteorite-list] 99th Anniversary Holbrook Hunt Heads Up / Beware

Greetings Holbrook Hunters,

I'm not sure if Sonny has mentioned it as I've not been following the
Holbrook thread, but when Sonny and I were there in April the guy that
lives at the end of the road on the right came out and made some
comments about all the meteorite hunting traffic, and he doesn't like
it. He is a bit unpredictable to say the least, I'll leave it at that.
Just be aware that if he comes over and says something to you, you may
be caught off guard because he doesn't hold back and he gets real
excited. Though he may not be exactly in the right, as hunters we all
need to remember to respect the people that live in the communities
where we hunt and give them the benefit of the doubt.

I wish I could go, good luck to everyone that is going!

Sincerely,
Larry Atkins

Hey all,
We may not have room in our truck, but we will try to help out.  We
probably
won't meet at Denny's because we're driving up Sat. morning.  But if
people have
to park their cars along the main road coming in, maybe we can help
with rides
from there.

As far as the rain goes - we've almost got stuck in the rain there
quite a few
times.  It takes days for the area to drain too...

Regardless, it looks like it's going to be a great opportunity to meet
fellow
listers so far unknown... :)

Clear skies (for the weekend!)

Hello Holbrook Hunters...  For those with 2 wheel drives, that may not
want

to venture out to the field, can likely find a ride with those how have

room in their 4 wheel drives.  I will have room for 3 riders from Motel
6.

Plus it's good to have help, if I get stuck!!! Ha!
