  It was 81 years ago today, Feb. 17, 1930, that the Paragould, AR meteorite fell. My dad was a whopping 43 days old then, so obviously he had no recollection of the fall. But seeing as to how it fell only 28.5 miles away from where he lived then, his house was assuredly "bathed in the light of the fireball"! Dang. Only 28.5 miles away from his yard. Now THAT's where it SHOULD have landed. Stupid meteorite.  ;-)
