Don't know about the US but importing a pet rat into Alberta Canada is illegal. A family with a pet rat moved to Alberta from BC and they were given a choice - whack the rat or send it back to BC. The rat came back (to BC). Chris Spratt Victoria, BC (Via my iPhone)
