Hi Adam and list,

I have been a fan of  iron in lunar meteorites for quite some time.  I have 
a couple samples  where you need a microscope to see the iron but nothing 
with a chunk of iron as  your Legendary - 1.478 gram part slice with metal of 
Lunar meteorite NWA 5000  listing clearly has.

This is a big deal!!!    The iron is  a meteorite that impacted the moon.  
Because there is no atmosphere the  impact velocities are high and most 
material is vaporized.  This is why  microscopic bits are the typical find.

I don't know what is documented,  but this is the largest iron chunk in a 
Lunar meteorite that I have ever heard  of.

To who ever grabs this sample, I will (If you trust me with it) offer  to 
put a 1/4 micron polish on the one side and take some killer incident light  
shots of the iron.  I will return the polished sample with a CD of the  
micrographs.  The polish loss would be little as this sample appears to be  flat 
and needing no grinding just a diamond slurry on a felt pad.
