`The only difference it this one was traveling from SW to NE. I have had been contacted and talked to quite a few eye witnesses. I had a couple tell me that they heard a loud "boom" about 1 minute after they saw the detonation. The other said he had his house shake and it lit up the surrounding area, then he heard a sonic boom about a minute or two later, but it was really loud and powerful. He said he felt the percussion from the sonic boom. I have actually talked to a guy who believes he may have a piece from it.He lives right in the area I think it would have landed if it made it to Earth. He said he was mowing his lawn yesterday morning and saw a black stone in his yard that was not there previously. The photo he sent me was not very clear, but it could have been a meteorite. I am going to go meet with him tomorrow and check out his "find". If it is a meteorite he said he is willing to sell it to me. He didnt have a weight, but measured it: it
measured approximately 2"x 2.5"x 3.5". I hope it turns out to be the real deal. I will know by this time tomorrow.
It is odd that so many fireballs have been spotted in WI in the last Month.
I talked to a guy from the U of W in Madison. He told me that April 13th he saw a pretty big one at 9:05pm to the East of Madison. While I was at his house on May 1st he got a call from an eye witness that reported another large one that was East of Madison and she said it lit up the ground, The next morning I read a report of that same fireball here on the Met-List. Maybe it is due to all the hype from the April 14th fireball, or maybe it is just a really rare coincidence. I guess we will never know unless some local stumbles across a freshly fallen meteorite and reports it.

 Best Wishes,
Joe Kerchner

Am I the only one that finds this odd? A second meteorite sighted in a straight line from the last!
