[meteorite-list] WI fall price...wow!

Hi Tet,
        The consistent reports as to the number of miles walked
On the average relative to the number of grams recovered
Make $100/g seem modest, especially when you combine that
With the cost of travel, meals and lodging. My guess is the
"average" hunter who went to WI and found one specimen
"paid" well over $100/g, himself, not counting all the time
And walking involved. Certainly there are exceptions, but
On the average, the reports are consistent.
        "Far too many buyers" is, of course, relative. If there
Weren't buyers willing to spend $100/g, my guess is everyone
Would simply keep the specimens they found - in fact, there
Are many reports that many are doing just that, given the
Time, energy and cost of getting them.
