The Grand Slam bomb was a 10,000 Kg air drop weapon used late in WW II.

It could penetrate the ground 40 meters before it exploded. It was never used anywhere near the Egyptian crater, but that wasn't the question, if I understand the way the thread has evolved.

However, my guess is that it could easily produce the crater we are talking about.
