Dear list members,

Just a reminder......the bidding for the 207.1 gram main mass fragment of Whetstone Mountains on eBay will end at 18;:36:50 or 6:36 pm PST on Wednesday, June 23.  Some or all of you may have recognized the fact that this auction ends on the one year anniversary of this fall, June 23, 2009.  This Arizona fall is the most thoroughly and well documented fall in history.  Each of the 22 pieces recovered from this fall is pictured and documented in the monograph entitled "Preliminary Note on the Shower of Meteoric Stones found by Jack Schrader, near Whetstone Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona."  The fact that there have only been 22 stones with a total weight of 3055 grams recovered from this fall in nearly a year now, makes this an exceedingly rare meteorite.  The fact that each piece has been photographed and recorded in situ makes the fall exceptional, and the fact that each piece has been meticulously recorded and pictured in the
published monograph, makes each specimen from this fall unique with unquestionable provenance for all time.

This is your opportunity to add an exceptionally rare and absolutely pristine and untouched specimen of only the second fall in Arizona to be recovered in 97 years to your collection at a price that is an unbelievable but real  bargain for such an exceptionally rare meteorite.  The current bid price for this specimen is way below the true value of this meteorite and is certain to only increase over time.  This 207.1 gram stone has been photographed and recorded into the database at the University of Arizona as well which also adds to the provenance for this stone.
