[meteorite-list] Book advice

Wife and kids want me to pick out a book for Father's Day.

I'm interested in one of these three books: 
1) Meteorites by Caroline Smith 
2) Field Guide to Meteors and Meteorite by Norton
3) Meteorites: Messengers from space by Fritz Heide
  (the updated latest edition)
 
I would like input from listees in which is the best
buy for info in regard to price and overall usefulness.

Without a doubt and in spite of its price:

O.R. Norton's Field Guide to Meteors and Meteorites

unless you can get O.R. Norton's:

Cambridge Encyclopedia of Meteorites

.. which would be my first choice!

And, of course, the "duo" Field Guide + Cambridge
Encyclopedia would be ... ideal ;-)
