Hi Rob H.,

No, the Nomenclature Committee is part of the Meteoritical Society. If
you make a meteorite find, you are encouraged to request a provisional
name/number from the NomComm. There are specific instructions for doing
so on the Meteoritical Society's website:

For meteorites that have not been analyzed by a recognized institution,
you'll want to use the 'Provisional name submission template', a link

Great find Bob! I've been out in that area south of Trona and have had
good luck. But I'm a newbie at this and want to ask 2 questions:
Is the Nomenclature Committee part of IMCA?
And if I find something how do I report it?
