Just got this from Rob (Matson):

'Hi Bernd, Please feel free to forward to the list for me. I've never agreed with
the "fragile" comments regarding 2008 TC3. It was not, for instance, a rubble
pile asteroid. It couldn't have been, since its spin rate was one of the highest
 measured, which would have been more than enough to break up a rubble
pile, or any fragile bulk material.  --Rob'
