Well, theres probably not many "welcoming landowners" anymore, as the crops have already been planted for the season. Not to mention, anything left has either been plowed over or has been soaking in wet mud for the last 1-2 weeks.

We're planning on heading over to Texas in the next few days to have a
look around - if anyone could supply some information on welcoming
landholders or where exactly to hunt, it would be much appreciated.
Any strewn-field information in general would be nice, as it would
save us at least a day or two of orientation.
