A while back I was dry cutting (slowly with a thin low-density diamond blade) a piece of Indarch, which produced a rather disagreeable odour. I put the smell down to the reaction of the finely powdered air- sensitive minerals such as oldhamite and niningerite with the moisture in the air. Laurence CMS ASU
