[meteorite-list] GPS Device located on my car!

Just a quick question.

Why is contacting the IMCA your first move, when it sounds like the police
should be notified?

Why bring this to the attention of the entire list, and furthermore expose
yourself to to possible accusations of libel by accusing someone in this
manner, especially if it happens to turn out that it was someone else who
placed the device there?

I am not taking any sides here. I purchased my first meteorite from Mike
Farmer, and it was a very nice specimen. I have had no interaction with any
of the other parties involved.

But I think things are really starting to get out of hand.

This really does not belong on the list - it is a police matter, and if it
turns out it is not someone who you think it is, advertising the situation
is just going to make it more difficult to find the culprit.

Just my two cents - back to lurking.
