Why can't you leave the package in your mailbox?

If you buy your postage on the USPS website, you get a discount on postage, you can generate a shipping label and arrange to have your carrier pick up the package at your house. Even if you aren't home, you can leave instructions for the carrier on where to find the package on the order.
