Ahoy there list!
Has anybody heard anything further on this one? I've been a bit behind on my
list duties and just read about this.
I live very close to both Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks (NW of L.A.), but
missed seeing this fireball. The inclusion of Stockton seems odd, as it is
roughly 300 miles north of here (E of S.F.Bay). I'll have to inquire with
all my local contacts to see if anyone saw anything. I'd love to get out in
this 110 degree weather, with the Glendale fire smoke drifting around, and
start hunting a fresh fall. No joke...I really would! 8^)

The ball of light was white and large and had a very long trail of smoke. It
was in the Simi Valley/Thousand Oaks area. Anyone else see it or know what
it is?

I saw the ball of light from Stockton. It was in the Southern sky right
below the moon. It was a large ball of light and had smoke trailing. It fell
straight down then wobbled down even further, seemed like a couple of
seconds. I'm sure of the exact time but it was somewhere in the range of 7-8
p.m. I thought it was a plane crash but obviously after not hearing any news
I figured it was something else. Wish I had my camera pointed that way, it
was definitely an amazing sight!
